"The Church of Scotland Guild is a movement within the Church of Scotland which invites and encourages both women and men to commit their lives to Jesus Christ and enables them to express their faith in worship, prayer and action."

Currently, at Bathgate High, the Guild meets on Wednesdays afternoon, from 1.30 until 3PM in the Lesser Hall and the 'season' runs from September – April inclusive. We have a number of men as well as women that attend our meetings however we would be pleased to welcome many more.

Our Syllabus is varied and we enjoy listening to music, hearing speakers, outings, crafts but most of all the fellowship we have with one another. If you are interested in joining us or finding out more, please just come along or click here to contact us for more information.

Worship

Our Easter Sunday service next week will be at the usual time of 11AM. The service will be led by David Wilkie.

There will be tea and coffee after the service in the Hall. We hope to see you there.

The proposed date for Rev McAspurren's induction is 5th May.

Bathgate Churches Together

There are a number of services taking place in Bathgate during Holy Week. The programme is coordinated by Bathgate Churches Together. The services this year include ;

Good Friday: 18th April

St. Columba's Episcopal: 2-00pm. Good Friday Service. Stations of the Cross.

EU/URC Church: 7-00pm. Led by the Rev. Jan Adamson.

Saturday 19th April

St. Columba's Episcopal: 8-00pm. Easter Vigil and First Eucharist of Easter.

Easter Sunday: 20th April

Centrepoint Church: 10-30am in Simpson Primary School.

Bathgate Parish Church: 11am.

Boghall Parish Church: 11am led by the Rev. Dawn Westwood.

EU/URC Church: 11am. Celebration of Holy Communion led by the Rev. Jan Adamson.

St. Columba's Episcopal: 11-15am. Sung Eucharist.

Church Magazine

The archive of church magazines is available here. The web-link for the Easter edition can be found here. The on-line edition contains colour photos which we cannot reproduce successfully in the paper copy. In addition to the magazine, there is a poster from the Girls Brigade which we were unable to add to the magazine for technical reasons.

Food bank

The food bank is open from 10AM - 12 noon on a Tuesday morning in the Church Hall.

Pre-school

The pre-school group runs on a Tuesday from 1 pm until 2:15 pm and on a Thursday from 10 am until 11:15 am. The sessions are 'turn up' with no booking required, but responsible(ish) adults need to remain with the children. The Pre-school is not running over the school holidays

The Church Office

The Church Office is normally open each weekday morning between 10 and 12 noon. The Office is closed over the school holidays.

BATHGATE PARISH CHURCH
