To Bathgate Parish Church website. We are a congregation of the Church of Scotland located in West Lothian and we trust that you will be blessed by your visit to our website and look forward to having the opportunity to welcome you in person.

Worship

At Bathgate Parish Church takes place throughout the week in our various church groups however the main family worship service is on a Sunday morning at 11.00 am where there is a balance of both traditional and contemporary styles of worship.

Witness

As a congregation we acknowledge Jesus Christ as our Saviour and Lord and our mission is to seek to share His love by worship, faith and fellowship with all ages. To praise Him in the big things as well as the small and to endeavour to live our daily lives in a manner that would bring honour and glory to Him.

Weekly Diary

Worship

Our service next week will be at the usual time of 11AM and will be led by Rev Alex McAspurren. This will include our celebration of Holy Communion.

Lent Bible Study

During the first four weeks of Lent, a short Bible Study course will be held on Thursday afternoons. These will begin on 26^th February, continuing weekly through March 19^th. We will meet in the manse at 2pm. Refreshments will be provided. The subject will be The Last Week in the life of Jesus, as seen from the perspective of Matthew. Please let Alex know if you plan to attend.

Please let us know if you would be happy to receive your magazine electronically, which allows full colour and saves trees.

Organisations

Please note that Youth Organisations, including the Pre-school group, are not meeting during the schools' holiday week.

Connecting Bathgate Parish

There is an open afternoon on Saturday 7th March, This takes place in the Large Hall from 12.30 until 3PM.

This event is for those who worship with us regularly, are part of our church groups, or for anyone who has lost touch with the church in recent times and we would welcome them reconnecting.

There will be an opportunity to hear from some of those involved in church activities. The event is free and there will be a buffet lunch.

Food bank

The food bank is open from 10AM - 12 noon on a Tuesday morning in the Church Hall. Anyone with an address in Bathgate or Boghall can be considered for help from the foodbank. The Foodbank has now re-opened follwing the Christmas break.

Pre-school

The pre-school group runs on a Tuesday from 1 pm until 2:15 pm and on a Thursday from 10 am until 11:15 am. The sessions are 'turn up' with no booking required, but responsible(ish) adults need to remain with the children. Please note that Pre-school is not meeting during the schools' holiday week.

The Church Office

The Church Office is normally open on weekday mornings between 10 and 12 noon.

From January, the office will be open on a Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings only.
